Each State Perfectly Described by one Photo

35. We’re Not In Kansas Anymore

Kansas is a midwestern state best known for its tornados. However, it is unclear if this stereotype came as a result of the famous classic movie the Wizard Of Oz.

Most people are familiar with the sentence, “we’re not in Kansas anymore”.

Well, that line was said as a result of a tornado that blew the main character, Dorothy, and her dog Toto, all the way from their home in Kansas to the magical land of Oz.

 

35. We’re Not In Kansas Anymore

However, even though devastating tornadoes and windy weather are correctly attributed to Kansas, the Sunflower State is only ranked 8th in terms of having the worst tornadoes in the country, behind other states such as Oklahoma and other states in the great plains.
