Christmas Was so Much Better in the 80’s

I hate to admit it but looking back at these they definitely weren’t the most delicious candy on the market, but for some reason these became a Christmas tradition and it just stuck.

I remember these Jelly Fruit Slices being carefully arranged by color on a glass plate at almost every Xmas party, and I always received them as gifts from grandma and grandpa.

When we first got them as kids we weren’t impressed- why would we want candy with the word “fruit” in it? But when we got older and brave enough we finally tried them and were delighted to discover that they didn’t taste like fruit at all!
