Celebs That Absolutely Hate Each Other
Let’s be real – we all have people we hate. There’s no getting around it: some people are just plain infuriating!
And if us little people can find each other annoying, how much worse it must be for big personalities that come along with celebrity.
After all, just because they’re fancy and famous doesn’t mean that everything’s all butterflies and rainbows.
In fact, some of the most intense fights can come between celebrities who don’t get along – you’d never believe this drama!
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams
They played one of the most iconic couples ever – and you never would have guessed that they hated each other the entire time!
Rachel and Ryan argued a lot on set, and there are many reports about the wild fights they used to get in.
Noah and Allie had a pretty tense relationship on screen, and maybe that was inspired by how much they bickered off set.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall
There was more than just wild fashion in the city – there were wild fights too. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall may have been playing best friends on the extremely popular show, but they were far from best friends in real life.
The argument started about money – SJP made twice what Cattrall did – which of course got on Cattrall’s nerves!
Another reason for tension was that Samantha was loved amongst Sex and the City fans, sometimes even more than Carrie, which really bothered Sarah Jessica Parker.
She probably felt like she was being upstaged, and nobody likes to be pushed to the side! Especially Carries.
Kanye and Jay-Z
Rapper feuds are notorious for their intensity, and Kanye West is especially known for his drama.
But did you know that Jay-Z was involved with the drama?
Jay-Z helped Kanye get to where he is, so it’s certainly a surprise that they would end up having bad blood between them.
But when they were touring and recording together they began to fight, and they would go for weeks without even speaking!
Jay didn’t like the way Kanye ran his shows, with lots of flashing lights, dancers, and fancy stages.
They even fought about tragedy, when Kim Kardashian (Kanye’s wife) was robbed, Kanye felt Jay-Z didn’t step up enough as a friend. Those are some pretty big differences to have to work through!
James Franco and Anne Hathaway
If you were paying attention in 2011 you probably would have heard about the fiasco that was the Oscars.
Anne and James were the hosts, and it went terribly. They had really awful chemistry, didn’t land any jokes, and made many in the audience feel uncomfortable.
Afterward, Hathaway would go on to blame Franco, saying he was unprofessional and caused the problems.
For his part, when Howard Stern badmouthed Hathaway to Franco’s face, James didn’t defend her at all, and also seemed to imply the disaster at the Oscars was her fault.
Neither of them is probably eager to host again – and certainly not with each other.
Drake and Chris Brown
Drake and Chris Brown were at a party together way back in 2012 when they ended up talking about their mutual ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. Dating the same girl is never a recipe for a good friendship.
Their conversation ended in blows, where they and their friends ended up fighting with fists and thrown bottles before the fight was broken up.
Brown has a physical reminder of the fight: a cut across his chin. He isn’t likely to forget about that feud with Drake anytime soon.
Blake Lively and Leighton Meester
Serena and Blair are iconic for being on-again-off-again best friends.
They supported each other and also stabbed each other in the back, depending on what season of Gossip Girl you were watching.
Sadly, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester had just as rocky a relationship.
They fought a lot and didn’t agree most of the time.
It must have been really hard for them to spend twenty hours a day together, every day for years and years!
Eventually, they stopped speaking once Gossip Girl was over, and when Leighton got engaged Blake didn’t even call to congratulate her!
Bella Thorne and Mod sun
Bella and Mod dated for a while, but once they broke up they really began to fight.
They took their arguments public over twitter.
They were claiming that they both were refusing to give each other’s things back.
Break-ups can be messy enough – it’s so much worse when it’s public, and you’re famous!
But seriously, how rude not to give back your exes stuff?
Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey
Carey once claimed “I don’t know her” about Jennifer Lopez, at the time when Lopez was up and coming in the early 2000s.
Lopez didn’t take it too much to heart, and apparently still considers herself a Mariah fan.
Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande
Another pair who played best friends on screen but were anything but in real life.
Victoria and Ariana apparently clashed a lot on set, and there was a lot of jealousy between them about singing parts and acting chops.
It all boiled over when Ariana blamed Victoria for Victorious’s cancelation!
Then Victoria snapped back and turned the tables, blaming Ariana as well.
We may never know whose fault it really was, but if they can’t stand each other it’s probably better that they never have to work together again.
Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush
Although they starred together on One Tree Hill, and even got married due to their intense chemistry, Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush’s story was not destined for a happy ending.
Murray cheated on Sophia with Paris Hilton, and they ended up getting a divorce not long after getting married.
But they still had to work together for years afterward, on the show! Those sets must have been incredibly awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved.
Naya Rivera and Lea Michele
Glee was a drama, a comedy, and a musical all rolled into one.
With episodes packed full of plot and a lot of on-screen conflict, is there any wonder that there was off-screen conflict too?
Lea and Naya apparently hated each other.
They argued constantly, and the conflict got to the point that Lea tried to get her co-worker fired.
Because Lea was ultimately the star of the show, it seems she got her way, and Naya didn’t come back for the final season of the show.
Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow
Martha Stewart has always been the queen of lifestyle content, and when Gwyneth started trying to move in on her territory with Goop, the claws came out.
Stewart accused Paltrow of “trying to be Martha Stewart” and Paltrow has seemed to take the insult to heart, throwing some shade of her own.
Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks
Naomi and Tyra were working together in the modeling industry back in the 90s, and they were pit against each other from the start.
Naomi was threatened by Tyra’s new talent and scared that she would be replaced by the up-and-coming model. Campbell even got Banks fired from some shows!
William Shatner and George Takei
Best known for their iconic roles as crewmembers of the Starship Enterprise, Shatner and Takei definitely didn’t mesh together as a crew off-set.
Shatner is quoted as calling Takei “psychotic” and “disturbed” while Takei has accused Shatner of being “self-centered”!
Those are both pretty bold and dark accusations, and it makes you wonder what the actors did to deserve those critiques.
Will Smith and Janet Hubert
Will Smith is a pop-culture sensation, and beloved by many – but not by Janet Hubert.
Hubert played Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince, but she was fired in ‘93. And she blames it all on Will Smith!
She says he’s an “egomaniac” and a “punk” and that he owes her many apologies for the way she was treated on the set all those years ago.
But she may have to wait a long time, as Will Smith has given no indication that he feels responsible for Janet Hubert’s situation.
Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment
Although they played soul-sisters Miley Stewart and Lily Truscott on Hannah Montana, Miley and Emily were not as close as sisters often are. In fact, they weren’t friends at all during the beginning of shooting!
They took a while to warm up to each other, and then even in the later seasons, Emily was often annoyed with Miley’s attitude.
While they parted the show on better terms than they began it, they would never be as close as their characters.
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel
Their fight was certainly fast and furious. Johnson accused his male co-stars on Fast 8 of being unprofessional and impossible to work with in a very fiery Facebook post.
Diesel apparently thought that Johnson was talking about him because he replied in an Instagram video that was a little less furious but certainly angry.
Since Johnson is known for being a very kind and happy person, it’s certainly interesting to think about what may have made him turn against his co-star!
Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift
Kim K’s fights with Taylor Swift were so impactful that they prompted Taylor to write multiple songs about the events.
In fact, after Kim tweeted a snake emoji in a dig at Taylor, Taylor made snakes a major theme in her reputation tour.
They began a fight over Kanye West’s controversial lyrics in the song Famous, but their fight expanded into other territories and echoed all the way back to 2009 when Kanye upstaged Taylor at the VMAs.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry
Taylor also made an enemy in Katy Perry, when Tswift apparently stole some dancers from Perry’s tour to use for her own tour.
Angry tweets and shady rumors flew for a while, and it was clear that although they had once been friends, there was definitely a hatchet between the two.
Taylor seems to have written Bad Blood about Perry, and there are some that think Swish, Perry’s song, is her response to Taylor.
That’s a lot of emotion for one fight!
However, this argument does have a happy ending, as they buried the hatchet between them and Katy even appeared in one of Taylor’s recent music videos.
Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose
Sisters stick together, and when Amber Rose said something mean about Kylie Jenner on a radio show Khloe was quick to stick up for her sister.
They got into a heated tweet-battle, which was never fully solved and left both parties very insulted.
Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj
Back in 2015, when Anaconda was not nominated for Best Video of the Year award at the VMAs, Miley made a comment in the Times that painted Nicki to be a sore loser and rude.
Nicki did end up winning best hip-hop video of the year, and in her acceptance speech she called out Miley for what she had said in the paper earlier, saying “…this [expletive] that had a lot of stuff to say about me in the press. Miley, what’s good?”
This prompted a look of shock from Miley, and a lot of applause from the audience. The two artists made up afterward on twitter, but it certainly was a rocky awards show moment.
Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber
Although they are in very different fields – acting versus music – and are very far apart in age – Orlando is almost twenty years older than Justin – they still managed to find a way to fight.
In 2014 Orlando Bloom threw a punch at Justin Bieber when they were both in a hotel in Ibiza!
It’s unusual for a fued to turn physical, but apparently Justin said something to set Orlando off, either about Bloom’s ex-wife or something else that was rude and insolent and made Orlando feel justified in trying to deck the popstar.
Shane Dawson and Logan Paul
Shane and Logan got into a twitter fight after Shane released a docu-series about Logan’s brother Jake.
Logan tweeted that Shane was wrong in his implications that he and his brother were sociopaths, and Shane responded that it was all a joke… or was it?
George Clooney and Russell Crowe
George Clooney said that Russell Crowe had insulted him and picked a fight, calling him a sellout and other names.
He demanded an apology, and eventually, he got one in a round-about way: Crowe sent Clooney a disc of music and poetry, and tried to say it was all just a big misunderstanding.
Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga
Perez Hilton has made a lot of enemies over his career as a gossip blogger, but he and Lady Gaga were friends once.
It all changed when he did an interview asking her rude and personal questions and being very negative about her work.
At least, that’s what Lady Gaga says. Perez Hilton claims that he’s the one who stopped being friends with her because she was “a real life vampire” – but since Perez Hilton has made so many other people miserable, maybe we’re more inclined to believe Lady Gaga.
Kanye West and Taylor Swift
Even before her Reputation album and Kanye’s infamous song Famous, Kanye and Taylor had beef. It’s a decade old by now, but in 2009 when Taylor won her award for music video of the year Kanye stepped onto the stage and claimed the award should rightfully go to Beyonce.
Taylor was shot into the limelight as a victim of his rudeness and carelessness, and a moment that was meant to be special was turned into a spectacle.
She wrote a song about him that she performed two years later, Innocent, but their feud would continue well through the decade.
At this point, you wonder if they’ll ever be friends!
Elton John and Madonna
Elton John and Madonna used to be friends, but he’s been critiquing her performance style for years now.
He says that she lip syncs and doesn’t give the people a performance that they pay for, and he’s never apologized or taken back his words.
Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato
Once they had a friend in common in Selena Gomez, but that’s what led to this unfortunate fighting.
Demi apparently felt that Taylor stole Selena’s friendship from her, which Taylor denied.
Demi also said some critical things about Swift’s public persona and her style, which Taylor never quite rebutted. It’s certainly a shame, as they’re both such powerful role models for their fans.
The Jenners and Selena Gomez
Although they spent a whole week together at Coachella and seemed to be beginning a wonderful friendship, Selena unfollowed both the sisters and deleted all their pictures shortly afterward.
It seems that Kendall had kissed Selena’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, which led to her cutting both sisters out of her life.
Karamo Brown and Antoni Porowski
Two members of the Fab Five used to be fab and fighting. You would never believe it from watching, but apparently during all of season one of Queer Eye, Karamo and Antoni hated each other!!
Their personalities totally clashed, which led to a lot of tension.
On camera, they did their job for their assignment, but off camera they didn’t even speak.
Luckily they sorted everything out, and now they’re fabulous friends at last.
