Celebrities Clapping Back at Haters
Fame can be a double-edged sword. Celebrities are constantly discussing the pressure of stardom and how it impacts their everyday lives. Social media tends to enhance this challenge. Athletes, actors, and singers get plenty of love from fans, but unfortunately, there are also a lot of haters. These keyboard warriors have plenty of time on their hands to sit behind a screen and leave hurtful comments.
So how do A-Listers cope? They clap back. Some are witty and creative right off the bat, and many have gotten good at making snappy responses from practice. Regardless, the following celebrities weren’t going to let these mean comments go unnoticed. Don’t start with any of these stars—they know how to dish it out!
Don’t Mess with Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson’s story challenges the stereotype that being thin will lead to happiness. Clarkson wowed the public with her American Idol appearance in 2002 and has won numerous awards since. Over time Clarkson has put on some weight and has embraced it. She has publicly said that when she felt pressure to be thin, she was miserable and stressed.
The most brainless thing someone could say to a secure, confident, and proud woman would be tweeting about her weight. Kelly Clarkson responded with sass and class while successfully making the hater look stupid. That’ll teach people to steer clear of bullying someone who knows their value.
Keep Your Eyes On Cher
Cher has wowed audiences for decades. Her rich, deep voice and beauty are matched by her guts and Moxy. This is one mature star who has found a home for her witty one-liners on social media. When she criticized Donald Trump’s policy on DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) by encouraging people to take in immigrant children, she was answered by a cynical heckler.
Cher made it clear that she’s ready to practice what she preaches. After all, Cher has a long history of advocacy for worthy causes that would make this fool’s head spin. Maybe this person didn’t realize they were criticizing THE Cher. Wait a minute, there is no other Cher.
Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing
People are constantly starting rumors about JLo photoshopping her body. Whether she’s in the limelight for that or her relationship with Ben Affleck, people have a lot to say. It seems like the star can’t catch a break. Being this successful and having eyes on you all the time must get overwhelming.
By taking a mirror selfie JLo shows the public she doesn’t need photoshop. She even uses the caption to address how much time and effort she puts into her physique. All the ridicule must get overwhelming. We love how she used social media to keep it real and looked great while doing so.
A Blunt Response
Religion and politics can be relationship deal breakers, but what about music? A James Blunt critic attributed the downfall of his relationship to his girlfriend’s love for the British MTV star and Grammy award-winning singer. We wonder how much this guy even liked his girlfriend in the first place if they were willing to end things over their music preferences.
James Blunt clapped back on Twitter that the ex-girlfriend might be lacking in one of the five senses (but definitely not hearing). This is the kind of clever comeback people would pay to see. Maybe the girlfriend’s favorite song was “You’re Beautiful”. Though the boyfriend didn’t have the heart to appreciate it, she must’ve been grateful when he said: “Goodbye My Lover.”
Booty Call Out
It’s no question that having a nice behind can be a real… asset, but so is being one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Some people will find the smallest thing to hate on to troll celebrities. This user obviously had a problem with Taylor Swift’s booty and decided to mock her for it.
Fellow singer Lorde was swift in calling out Diplo. She quickly pointed out that he may be lacking in his own anatomy as well. Putting a big star in his place with this remark is truly iconic. Maybe this interaction will inspire both of them to come out with new music. We love seeing stars stick up for each other!
Blunt Shows Critic the Money
James Blunt had a blunt Twitter comeback for a hater who obviously has nothing better to do than rip apart people more successful than himself. He obviously feels his life won’t be complete until he highlights all the problems he has with Blunt’s smash hit “You’re Beautiful.” How can you rip apart such a successful song?
Blunt clearly doesn’t care, and also seems to have some time on his hands. He’s willing to list the reasons he is indifferent to this cheap criticism by counting all $18 million dollars of his net worth. Does Blunt really need that many reasons not to care about this tweet? We’re sure he has better things to do with his time – like create more successful hits.
Serena Williams’ Feminine Mystique
When Harry Potter author J.K Rowling praised tennis sensation Serena Williams, a hater came out of the woodwork. He probably now wishes he hadn’t, since he was silenced with one stunning photo. Funny how celebrities praising each other can lead to such hate, thankfully comments like this are easy to address.
Rowling’s masterful response to this attack was this simple yet flattering photo of the world’s top tennis player. She’s just gorgeous! What idiot would think otherwise? Apparently this smart-aleck hadn’t seen a recent picture of Serena Williams or any photo of her at all!
Tickled Pink on Twitter
We all have different music tastes, and may not be a fan of every singer out there. But voicing these trivial criticisms on social media seldomly warrants a response from the star we’re talking about! One commentator criticized P!nk’s rendition of the national anthem at the Superbowl. It’s much harder to sing in front of thousands than to sit, tweet, and tear the performance apart.
This user’s tweet is basically a public announcement that they have nothing better to do with their time. After all, if they’ve literally written 1,000 tweets about why they can’t stand P!nk they probably never leave their basement. They set this one up for P!nk who was easily able to call them out.
No Pictures With Zombies
Which is scarier, a celebrity wanting personal space or crazed fans demanding pictures? It must be annoying when a celebrity turns you down for a photo. Though nothing is worse than not having any self-awareness. Watch what happens when a fan complains that the star from Everybody Hates Chris didn’t want to stop for a picture.
Getting the entire context from Terry Crews makes all the difference. Who wants to get pushed over by a fan while you’re out with your kids? Zombie fans needing photographic evidence they saw you must be a huge downside to fame. This fan really took it too far.
Triggered By Lil’ Nas’ Crop Top
One hater couldn’t help but go on and on about how Lil’ Nas X has issues. Clearly, the only one with problems is this Twitter user. He should probably go find another hobby. He was clearly triggered by the rapper’s snazzy wardrobe. Maybe instead of making comments, he should be taking notes.
Lil Nas has been down this “Old Town Road” before on social media. Given his response, maybe he’s even dealt with this particular hater before (or people like him). Dumb and vague criticism warrants this kind of response. Maybe it was the crop top that drove Greg to use all caps. All we care about is what fab outfit Lil’ Nas X will be sporting next.
Biles Bites Back
When Olympic medal-decorated gymnast Simone Biles made the controversial decision to withdraw from the Olympics, supporters and haters had a lot to say. She chose to prioritize her mental health and for the most part social media was filled with support. It was then quickly overrun with snarky comments, and one in particular rattled the gymnast.
It seems like this girl is just downright mean. She made the lazy assumption that Biles was out partying rather than training. It hit a nerve, but Biles responded masterfully and with dignity. This is yet another user with a narrow mindset calling out an icon. It’s doubtful that this hater can even manage to roll off the couch, much less do double-twist double backflip dismount.
Little Purple Troll
Some insults can hurt more than others, while others make no sense at all. P!nk had a good time ridiculing this particular comment. This person decided to call out the singer, songwriter, and dancer for the great sin of reaching the age of 38, something women in the industry are unfortunately vilified for. But what does this insult even mean?
We’re guessing that he’s saying that pink darkens to purple, but we don’t find the insult particularly coherent. P!nk didn’t need to respond to this put-down at all–it’s so dumb she could have just left it. However, her response gave this hater infamy and the new nickname–Little Purple Troll.
Piers Peers at Lady Godiva
Piers Morgan isn’t afraid to run his mouth. His dismissal from Good Morning Britain began with speculation about Meghan Markle’s personal life. You would think he’d know to stop there, but clearly couldn’t help himself. The English journalist couldn’t resist shaming Emily Ratajkowski’s stunning photoshoot. This guy really likes to bash successful women, doesn’t he?
This photo is revealing, but Emily did say she was portraying Lady Godiva, making nudity the whole point. Piers Morgan called out the photo with what he presumably thought was a witty quip about her ability to withstand the weather. The Polish-Israeli model clapped back saying Morgan was fishing for attention more than her. Even if ratings on his new podcast are okay, the fact he’s trolling on Twitter to get viewers doesn’t bode well for his career.
Chrissy Teigen Tweets Her Resume
Every career has its highs and lows. Chrissy Teigen is known for her hot takes and getting hate for them. The author and “Queen of Twitter” is used to people beating her while she’s down. This former Sports Illustrated model has become known for her Twitter fights, and the following shows Teigen in her classic sassy form:
This response surely left the hater speechless. Perhaps someone can peak and stay right on top? What more could anyone ask for? So much for accusing Chrissy Teigen of being a has-been. We hope Topher enjoys sitting on the couch while Chrissy thrives in Italy. She certainly didn’t hold back with this comeback!
From Minor to Major
Some celebrity critics have no boundaries. Oftentimes they completely cross a line. We wonder what’s going on in this person’s mind to make such a crude comment about Kylie Jenner’s looks. Sure her famous family is a magnet for both negative and positive attention, but this is just over the top.
We can’t even with this tweet. What were they thinking when they wrote this? The 19-year-old celebrity and model responded in a classy way to a classless comment. She also shows a flair for self-deprecating humor and taking ammunition away from creeps on Twitter. Good for Kylie. This exchange proved she’s a force to be reckoned with when it comes to criticism.
Zendaya’s Antidote to Toxic Twitter
Some sarcasm isn’t funny–it’s just plain mean. There isn’t any wit or intelligence to it. So much of Twitter is filled with snarky put-downs about people’s looks that only the insecure authors find funny. Zendaya wasn’t having it with any of this toxicity and called out a guy for unnecessarily commenting on a woman’s body.
The Emmy-award-winning actress, Zendaya is listed on Time’s top 100 most influential people of 2022. She decided to respond to a mean put-down with an uplifting comment that was extremely impactful. Since Zendaya is one of the most influential people of the year, perhaps her tweets can make Twitter a kinder place.
Kardashian Kat Fight
The Kardashians are no strangers to catfights. These family feuds fuel their show and make for exciting episodes. Though some arguments are said to be staged, we know they love conflict. Viewers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians have seen physical violence, but nothing beats the Kardashians’ verbal encounters. Here’s one cutting remark that’s certainly memorable.
No matter what, the Kardashians’ have each other’s backs. They’re not perfect, but regardless they’re ready to call people out when they go at a member of the family. Who knows if these Twitter fights are genuine or just for attention? Did Lamar intend to set this up for Kim to run away with the ball? Possibly, and she certainly scored.
Distracted Film Critic
The influence certain celebrities have is crazy. Many of us check what our favorite stars have to say about a film before going to see it. What if you found out your film critic wasn’t even paying attention? Finn Wolfhard, star of Stranger Things, made an obvious yet hilarious observation. And he’s totally right.
Why should anyone listen to an amateur film critic who’s on his phone while watching a movie? How will they even be able to make an informed opinion? There are so many little easter eggs, jumpscares, or jokes they might miss. Hats off to Finn for tweeting a quick putdown to keep James Charles in check.
Frankie Is Relaxed
We see celebrities get criticized on social media all the time, and it’s almost never constructive. What is most jarring is the inclusion of “I’m sorry” in the middle of the insult. Are they sorry? It’s both pathetic and patronizing. The apology didn’t stop someone from tweeting that Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor Frankie Muniz is bad at his job.
It’s pretty easy to respond to brainless insults. “Just awful,” is not as colorful as mentioning dollar amounts of net worth with a lot of zeroes at the end. Perhaps this “winner” doesn’t live in their mom’s basement, but they aren’t making a name for themselves like Frankie did.
Weight a Minute
People who troll female actors on Twitter tend to pick on the same topics all the time–age and weight. It’s pretty low blow and usually made without justification. Many of these haters have nothing better to do than comment on other people’s waistlines. Do we wonder if they’re closely watching their own?
We’re happy the Riverdale star is enjoying her double cheeseburger without concern. Do people think that celebrities are going to change their meal order based on a hateful tweet? Enough of these food fights and weight obsession, whether they’re a next-door neighbor or a Hollywood star, let women eat in peace!
From Ok, Lizzo, to Lizzo’s Ok
Here’s a snazzy response to a silly insult of the beloved singer, rapper, songwriter, and flutist, Lizzo. Someone took a Tweet about Lizzo too far and is definitely regretting it. A hater was using her name as an insult and this superstar wasn’t going to let them get away with it.
This response would have any hater shaking in their boots. Lizzo notes that people who lash out often have nothing going on in their own lives. She lists her credentials, wealth, and vivacious romantic life as reasons the term ‘Lizzo’ should be a compliment. The response that this hater can’t get “past the cheeks” is priceless.
Junior Dressed for Success
Academy award winner Lupita Nyong’o has shocked audiences with her on-screen performances. Her twin brother Peter has found himself in the spotlight as well, he’s especially known for his red carpet outfits. One example is this bright and fun look he was rocking at a music festival in Nairobi. But one snarky hater dared to comment on Peter’s style in a totally nasty way.
The takedown is fast and effective. We love his confidence. N’yongo affirms his decision, clearly not taking the words of this critic to heart. This hater certainly set themselves up for that one. If you ask us, we’d have to say that the outfit is smashing and suits him well.
Gigi Takes It in Strides
Of all things to criticize the 2016 International Model of the Year for, her walk shouldn’t be one of them. It’s unclear whether this critic implies her day-to-day walk or her performance on the catwalk isn’t up to their standards. We dare this idle hater to hit the runway themselves and show us what they’re made of.
What’s the connection between the criticism of Gigi’s walk and the remark about frequent boyfriend replacements? Is this even really an insult? In any case, the world-class model clarified her dating resume and acknowledged she was putting in the work. She showed her class and identified the real problem–the tweeter’s heart, not her feet.
The Sole of the Nation
We love when politicians pick fights with entertainers. Of all the people who have better things to do, you’d think governors would top the list. Kristi Noem, Governor of South Dakota, has a bone to pick with Lil’ Nas X over his Satanic sneakers. And this isn’t an SNL sketch–it’s real life.
The only thing that could’ve made the governor’s rant funnier is if she spelled “soul” as “sole.” She made it clear that this battle over the sneakers was a fight she wouldn’t back down on. Lil Nas X pointed out her lack of experience as a new governor. He then suggested she should focus on the “soul” of the nation–not his soles.
Gabby’s Tweet Is Just Precious
The resilient Gaboury Sidibe is certainly a lot stronger than her critics. Her award-winning performance in the hard-hitting drama Precious proves that fact. Rather than sitting on Twitter all day worrying about what people think of her photos, she’s working on her next project. If she’s crying at all, they should be tears of joy.
This is a clever way to strike at haters and promote her brand with a bit of mystery. What is this dream job? Her fans will soon find out and her critics will be able to read it and weep. There’s nothing like a winning attitude towards petty tweets.
You Are What You Eat
We’ve all been in a pickle. Someone thought Olivia Wilde looked like one due to her green outfit. It’s hard to imagine how someone could make such a comment about this stunning actress and filmmaker. Someone needs their eyes examined. The only thing they should take a look at is this witty comeback from the star.
Wilde deflects the comment with impeccable humor. She happens to like pickles. You know what they say, “you are what you eat.” Regardless, we look forward to her next red carpet sensation. We wonder what food she might get compared to next time. Either way, whoever insulted her is probably feeling pretty sour right now.
Haley’s Hater Wasn’t Expecting This
Yet again, someone tries to insult a female celebrity by addressing weight gain. However, this is more twisted than usual. The birth of a baby should be a happy occasion, but this tweet adds a negative connotation. Halsey fired back with a comment that professional hater Perez wasn’t expecting. We’re not sure what his goal was, but the tweet is just unnecessary.
Halsey clapped back with a jaw-dropping comeback that made us chuckle. Sure, it’s pretty vulgar, but we think he deserved it. Next time just wait for the public announcement by watching the headlines, not the waistlines. And remember, getting attention for being a jerk isn’t a good thing!
A Kardashian Schools Hater on Self-Respect
It’s hard being a Kardashian. People are always throwing shade, even at baby pictures. Poking fun at the adults is one thing, but hands off the Kardashian kids. Khloe wasn’t having it and called out a cowardly tweeter who then deleted their post. The hater said the baby was “not cute.” When someone called Khloé Kardashian’s baby “not cute,” she responded with this.
Khloe’s response reflects the way most of us would feel about someone insulting a child. This person has issues of their own. In this case, Khloe embodied true class. We can imagine the person who posted this is cowering after reading her response, that’s probably why they deleted the tweet. However, Khloe’s clapback will live on in all its glory.
How Neil Patrick Harris Met Rachel Bloom
People love to gossip privately with their friends, but those comments should never be taken to Twitter. You need to be especially careful when you have 2.7 million followers. Former How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris could have benefited from this advice. He ended up insulting a fan and a showbiz connection.
It would’ve been better if Neil Patrick Harris had simply whispered this to a friend rather than publicly tweeting his thoughts. The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator Rachel Bloom admitted that the remark left her devastated. However, her response was mild. Later in an interview, she excused the snark by saying the actor lacked writing skills and didn’t know better than to keep his rude comments to himself.
Dream Guy Devito
Danny Devito has always been quick on the uptake and always ready to crack a joke. This comedic actor may be short in stature but has a large social media presence. With this tweet, Devito proves he’s just as funny off script as he is on screen. His self-deprecating humor yields some hilarious responses.
Danny DeVito seemed to have fit all of the qualifications this tweeter was looking for–whether they meant it or not. Either way, DeVito’s response was right on the money. These two should definitely meet up and tweet about the experience! It’s clear that DeVito’s comedic genius glimmers on social media as well as on the silver screen.
Fat Shaming is So 1987
DJ Tanner famously said, “You ever hear that little voice inside your head saying, ‘This is wrong?” Yet even more than 30 years after Candace Cameron Bure’s break-out role in Full House, her bullies still haven’t internalized her advice. Luckily the strong and sporty celebrity clapped back when someone tried to comment on her physique.
Why fans and trolls feel the need to fat shame stars is beyond us. Furthermore, why are women held to such high beauty standards and necessarily supposed to be thinner than their husbands? She wasn’t having it and shared that she has a perfect petite, 25-inch waist. Candace Cameron also kept things classy and wished her bully well.
All The World’s a Stage
Back in 2011, Ciara thought taking on Rihanna would be a walk in the park and Tweeted, “Trust me Rhianna u don’t want to see me on or off the stage.” However, RiRi wasn’t about to let the “1, 2, Step” singer come for her on social media with no consequences and clapped back real hard.
She chose not to stoop as low as her rival but still proved that she is unapologetic by tweeting on her own page, “Good luck with booking that stage you speak of,” insinuating that Ciara was a has-been. Rihanna didn’t even bother mentioning Ciara, because she knew full well everyone would understand. Boy, does she know how to talk that talk.
Oh, Baby, You Should Go and Love Yourself
When Justin Bieber shared a gorgeous photo of his wife Hailey with no make-up on, one disgruntled fan wasn’t happy and called the singer out, saying he was trying to force others to see how he and Hailey are in love. Justin put the hater in his place. He explained that posting pictures of his wife is his way of honoring her publicly.
And he also called out the fan saying, “I’m not forcing it down anyone’s throat. YOU follow ME.” He has a fair point there. If someone isn’t interested in what another person posts they should feel free to unfollow instead of writing nasty comments. Is it really anyone’s business what anyone does with their Instagram?
Shine Bright Like a Diamond
Bad Gal RiRi proved she’s the queen of clap backs when some rude boy commented, “ur forehead shines brighter than my future,” on one of her photos. Instead of dissing the man, she reminded him just how self-assured she is by answering, “there’s still hope for you then.” The truth is, Rihanna shines bright like a diamond and she can’t help it if sometimes that dazzling light emanates from her forehead, too.
Not every comeback manages to be both silencing and uplifting. But Rihanna is just THAT good at what she does. When you’re as beautiful and successful as she is, it’s easy to stay confident in the face of online bullying.
We’re Googoo for Lady Gaga
One man thought he was standing up for Lady Gaga but didn’t realize that he was actually perpetuating unrealistic beauty ideals while doing so. The pop star didn’t let him get away with it and called him out for caring too much about what’s on the surface, saying, “I’d rather be fat than be shallow.”
The “A Star is Born” and “House of Gucci” actress makes a good point. It’s not enough to defend a woman and say she’s skinny when someone calls her fat. The problem is caring about other people’s weight to begin with. Whether she’s thin or thick, her body should be nobody’s business but hers.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Recording artist Sia used to be famous for not letting fans see her face. But apparently, some shady site thought that selling pictures of her baring her body would be a big hit. Thankfully, the talented songwriter and musician took the whole scandal in stride and laughed about it on Twitter.
She jokingly wrote, “Someone is apparently trying to sell naked photos of me to my fans. Save your money, here it is for free. Everyday is Christmas.” It’s genius that she found a way to promote her album “Everyday is Christmas,” while also coming for the people trying to get her down. We always knew she was one of the wild ones.
Cardi B Isn’t Hiding Anything
Yet again, a fan felt the need to pass judgment on a celebrity’s body and commented on Cardi B’s photo, wondering if she was pregnant. The rapper straight up told the troll the truth and explained that she wasn’t with child, she was just putting on some pounds. The best way to shut haters up is by telling them the truth and knowing how to laugh at yourself a little.
We shouldn’t be surprised by Cardi’s candor, she’s always been known to tell it like it is and not take crap from anybody. So much so, that she was even accused of being a cyberbully herself by none other than Nicki Minaj.
They Went in Different Directions
When Zayn Malik’s ex-bandmate Louis Tomlinson made fun of him on social media, the former One Direction member shut him down in an instant. Louis dissed Zayn’s photography styles and Zayn reminded him that he used to have a life. Good for Malik for leaving behind the people who were dragging him down.
Funny how a whole new world opened up for Zayn after going in his own direction. His career just keeps getting better even though he thinks nobody is listening. He’s got time to fly even higher, especially if he keeps working from dusk to dawn. There’s no such thing as too much of a good thing.
Taylor Swift Flexes at Netflix
Back in 2021, the Netflix series “Ginny and Georgia” premiered on the popular streaming service and managed to make Taylor Swift really angry. The show featured what Taylor described as a deeply sexist joke about her dating history. The singer didn’t let Netflix fly under the radar, she called them out for it!
Swift made Netflix look pretty stupid, saying that the joke was so 2010, calling it lazy, and recommending that they stop degrading hard-working women. In closing, she wittily wrote, “Happy Women’s History Month I guess.” We commend Taylor for standing up for herself and other women. She’s always been fearless like that.
Can’t Nobody Tell Me Nothing
As the first openly gay Black artist to win a Country Music Association award, Lil Nas X was sick of people constantly trolling him with homophobic comments. He decided to rub it in their faces by Tweeting, “Some of y’all not even mad that I’m gay, some of y’all mad that I’m gay and still succeeding.” That seems like a pretty accurate assessment.
His comment surely shut down a lot of his haters. From his first hit, “Old Town Road,” to his viral fashion moments and public image, he’s a superstar. When he came out as gay he received a lot of backlash, but the rapper made sure to embrace his true self and not let the haters get to him.
He Shouldn’t Have Sworn
Even if Harry Styles himself didn’t comment on this post, no one would’ve believed him. Everyone knows that if there’s no photo evidence, it basically didn’t happen. This is the type of celebrity attention that you don’t want to get. We’re not sure why he thought people would believe that a stranger would give them money, let alone a famous singer.
Also, just because Styles is famous, doesn’t mean he goes around paying with hundred-dollar bills. While he didn’t get to meet him, he can now tell everyone that Harry Styles tweeted at him! Nowadays that’s just as good as meeting a celebrity in person.
What Are They Implying About John Carpenter
Before you announce someone’s departure from this earth, you’d better verify they’re actually dead. Rotten Tomatoes isn’t like “The Onion”, they don’t usually promote fake info on purpose. This article was meant to be sincere, but it ended up being the opposite. We’re glad Carpenter was able to have a sense of humor about it. Most people wouldn’t be upset with being incorrectly declared dead.
We’re sure the person who wrote the article was delighted to see that the person they admired was actually alive. Just because someone isn’t active on social media doesn’t mean they died. If that were the case, we’d be seeing many more of these false articles floating around the Internet.
Samual L. Jackson He Doesn’t Hold Back
Just because an account has Hollywood in its name doesn’t mean they know what’s going on in the glitzy land of Tinseltown! With so much news flying around, someone has to be on the pulse of it. It just so happens to not be Dateline Hollywood. Samuel L Jackson has quite the mouth on him. That’s no secret. If you haven’t heard him read a lullaby you’re missing out.
While he has no problem letting people know how he feels, some things are still out of line, even for him. Jackson has never been under fire for a homophobic tweet. Even Twitter got involved and had to clear him so he could keep on being his usual incredible self.
At Least He Concedes
People usually feel comfortable saying whatever they want online. When you’re behind a screen it’s easy to let loose and pop off, even if you’re normally shy and reserved in real life. Most conversations on the internet are so volatile that they’d never happen face-to-face. Most people are braver online, though they’d never admit it. This guy is an exception.
Paul Felder is a mixed martial artist, and could probably kick the butts of any whiny critic online. Normally celebrities ignore comments like this, but we guess he was feeling particularly testy that day. Bet he didn’t expect this random stranger to fire back! Sometimes being self-aware is your best bet.
Jonah Hill Calls Out Bullying Paparazzi
Jonah Hill is loved for his hilarious roles in our favorite comedies but has unfortunately been fat-shamed by the press throughout his acting career. He’s known for playing the dumb, chubby friend. His appearance might’ve been a part of his funny character, but the paparazzi cross the line by bringing the fat jokes to the forefront.
Jonah decided to call them out on social media, by posting paparazzi photos of him in a towel on his own account and stating it doesn’t phase him anymore. He said it took him until age 37 to love his body. He added that he would’ve been able to much sooner if it weren’t for the press always loving his jokes, but hating on his looks.
Oswalt Has A Good Point
Comedian Patton Oswalt was slammed by The Daily Wire, being called a “supposed comedian” by the website. Oswalt responded to the article saying that if he’s such a “failed comedian”, they probably should leave out the photo of him holding an Emmy won for his comedy acts.
He has a good point, and we bet whoever wrote that article was feeling pretty embarrassed. Either they didn’t know who Oswalt was or they didn’t think he was worthy of the title “comedian”. Based on this roast, it’s obvious The Daily Wire was sorely mistaken. This is clearly how someone with a talent for comedy would respond!
Trash Reporters Go After Chris Hemsworth
As the climate changes and the world catches fire on a regular basis, people have to continuously make sure they have water to drink. Since we’re mostly made up of water, people have to drink a lot of it to stay hydrated and healthy. Even big-name stars know this and do what they can to ensure they have enough to drink. During a horrible drought, Chris Hemsworth made international news for importing a full truck of water to his mansion!
The Daily Mail reported it was for his seven-figure garden! As it turns out, they were wrong. Hemsworth’s house hadn’t been connected to the town’s water supply. He ended up having to make a statement to explain what really happened due to the lies told in the news story!
Not Very Constructive Criticism
Lil Nas X has shaken up not only the country music industry but the entire musical machine as a whole. His provocative videos and critical lyrics are pretty cool. They’ve also helped showcase a young queer artist who has no inhibitions about showcasing his art to the world. Like most artists, he also has a lot of critics. Since everyone’s a critic, you have to discern what real criticism is and what’s blatant homophobia.
While his music isn’t for everyone, that doesn’t mean he needs to be criticized for his sexuality. A lot of people use their platform to smack down not only Lil Nas X’s tunes but also his orientation. The tweets and jabs get so bad that some people even accuse him of causing AIDS!
Busted While Lying
If you’re going to fabricate a lie about meeting a celebrity, don’t tag them online. Sharing your fib with your friends is one thing. Posting it on the Internet, and then including the person, is another. Not only did this twit Tweet out they had a bad experience, but they tagged the comic they claimed to have met.
According to the poster, this guy was hanging out at a pub and started swearing at this person’s kid! That sounds pretty dramatic for a celebrity. Plus, wouldn’t there be more proof if he was that belligerent? While it already sounds weird, the tagged comic jumped into the mix. There was no way it happened because he had been at home all day!
David Cross Gives His Advice
Not only is Kim Kardashian’s advice pretty lame, but it’s also rude. Her background and claim to fame make all of her guidance for working women fall flat. She wasn’t ever the average person. If she wanted to give tips about something she has knowledge about, she should talk about how to make a good sex tape.
This Twitter response puts her simple words into perspective. Her privileged background makes her clueless. Her terrible suggestions make it crystal clear she spews things on the spot. Workers’ failures aren’t always because they’re lazy. Some people don’t start out with a trust fund, instead, they have to work their way up.
