Cats and Dogs That Destroyed Christmas
We all love and cherish our pets, even when they get into a little mischief. It’s hard to stay mad at those adorable faces! We try to lay down some boundaries to keep them from completely wrecking the house, but it doesn’t always go as planned. When the holidays roll around our homes are filled with elaborate decorations and scrumptious treats…that’s when our pets really go wild. There are so many things to rip, tear down, and munch on. When your furry friend inevitably wrecks the Christmas tree you can’t help but shake your head and laugh. Before cleaning up the wreckage you can’t help but snap a photo!
People from all over are sharing the ways their pets tried to ruin the holidays.
What Does the Fox Say?
Now here are two sights you definitely don’t see every day. An interesting looking dog looks utterly perplexed at this flying greenery. Some quirky dude captioned this photo, “the best way I could put up a Christmas tree with a fox in the house”. Huh, that really is a fox…and a portal.
We guess the kind of person to have a fox as a pet also knows how to open portholes to alternate dimensions. The trees look as if they are arriving at platform nine and three-quarters, and it’s pretty awesome. What does this fox say? We’ll never know, but what we do know is that although this is a very creative idea it probably won’t withstand the fox.
No Lights because of this Naughty Puppy
Imagine spending an entire evening setting up your Christmas tree, making sure all the lights have been draped perfectly over the branches. You stand back and admire your work, leave the room briefly, and come back to a dark and colorless tree. Who was the culprit? Well, the puppy chewing on the wires might be the one you have to blame for your now lightless Christmas tree.
If there’s anyone to complain to about the lackluster Christmas tree it’s Brownie. The dog simply does not appreciate the hard work that goes into decorating the tree. But to his credit, he’s still a 9-month-old puppy. Perhaps in time, he’ll grow into a more mature dog who doesn’t ruin the Christmas tree.
To All a Goodnight
Even though his lips aren’t moving, this sleepy kitty is no doubt saying, “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night”. He is doing a big service to his family by protecting the tree from whoever might slide down the chimney and leave some mysterious items.
Or he might just want to debunk that whole myth and catch the parents pretending to be Santa, and then he can finally tell the kids the truth!
His motive doesn’t even really matter, because he just looks so cute dozing in the middle of the tree. We hope the family doesn’t forget to turn the lights out for this snoozing kitty once the night’s over.
Catzilla, Coming to a Theater Near You
Twas the night before Christmas and all was calm and quiet in the city of Catnip. Everyone in the town was getting home to their families with their presents and empty bellies. All of a sudden as they were sitting down to tuck into their turkey with stuffing, the eggnog started vibrating.
Everyone looked around frantically, could there really be an earthquake on Christmas eve? A shadow drew over the town and hairballs started to fly everywhere. But of course, ‘twas the giant cat who stole Christmas that came storming in, destroying everything in its path and leaving nothing but wreckage behind. The citizens had always dreaded this day but knew that inevitable that it would come. Oh, the humanity!
Can Never Get a Night Off
This is exactly what it looks like when you come back home from a night without the kids and ask them nicely to behave, hoping they’ll all be asleep when you get home. But deep, deep down you know that your odds are zero to none.
Your youngest kid is caught red-handed doing something they know they shouldn’t be doing like rolling around in the Christmas lights, the middle child is playing along but giving his younger brother a guilty side glance so you’ll think he’s innocent. And the oldest? Well, he’s just lounging on the couch, watching a TV show, with an expression that seems to say, “mom this is exactly why I never agree to babysit”.
Little Help Here?
The taker of this photo, and the owner of this cat, posted this photo with the caption: “it hasn’t even been up for 3 minutes…” and we’re not even a little surprised. “Help, the tree has fallen and I can’t get up” seems to be what he’s saying with those eyes, but you gotta sit back and laugh at least a little at this silly creature.
He just wanted to get into a bit of kitty cat hijinks, but things seem to have taken a terribly wrong turn. The cat is absolutely appalled that you dared to snap a pic before helping him out of this predicament, so he’ll probably get some revenge against you in the form of pee. Kinda worth it though, this picture is priceless.
What Tree?
These kitties are really good at looking nonchalant. There isn’t a trace of guilt to be found in their casual behavior, we think there are some dogs out there who could learn a thing or two from them. One is avoiding eye contact and the elephant in the room completely, just acting as if everything is totally normal.
“Knocked over Christmas tree? WHAT knocked over Christmas tree! We don’t see a knocked over Christmas tree…”. And the other cat is looking at the tipped over tree as if it’s always been that way. They honestly did a really good job at trying to cover up the crime. Cats are truly the masterminds that we all knew they were.
Interior Decorator
This sure is one dedicated cat, instead of inconspicuously picking a bauble or decoration off the bottom, this furry devil was ballsy enough to climb all the way to the top with only one thing in sight- the tree topper. If we know our felines we know that they almost always want to go for the biggest spectacle they can find.
Or we could also give this guy the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was actually helping out and putting the tree-topper on! Just a little more to the right….and then he lost balance and started slipping. “A little help over here?? Stop taking photos and give me a hand!” It’s a good thing these guys have nine lives.
The Dog Who Ate Christmas
There seems to be a trend in the Christmas wreckage- the cats have a hand, or shall we say paw, in climbing the tree or knocking it down, whereas the dogs are just basically eating everything in sight. This dog saw how excited everyone was to open their presents so he wanted to open them for his family and do them a favor.
It seems that his family didn’t really see it as a favor, so they crowned him with the classic sign of shame. He was probably looking for a bone in the gifts, because what else could someone possibly want. Even though he’s made a mess, you have to admit it’s a pretty incredible feat to consume an entire holiday!
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
It’s funny because this is actually one of the most unique ideas of keeping a cat out of the Christmas tree, yet it seems so obvious to keep a tree in its natural setting. Not sure when or why people decided to start bringing trees indoors, but it looks like in some households it’s probably best to leave them where they belong.
Maybe that way it will stay far away from curious pets! It’s an idea. This cat seems totally confused and pretty disappointed, he was probably looking forward to the holidays just to climb that tree, but not this year, kitty. This tree is determined to stay intact and untampered by any furry friends.
Totally Unamused
A person that obviously has a great sense of humor shared this hilarious photo explaining, “our cat proof and environmentally conscious Christmas tree. Turn a tomato cage upside down, add a blanket, and laugh at the situation”. Even though he sounds pretty amused, it’s safe to say his cat definitely doesn’t feel the same.
What was going to be an exciting and adventurous climb up a Christmas tree has been ruined. “There’s no fooling me hooman, I know what you did and I don’t like it”. We have a feeling this cat might send you a message in the form of pee just to get back at you for not getting him one that he can climb on.
Protectors of Christmas
Yes, I’ll address what we’re all thinking, why does this guy keep bowls of cats around? Because we love it and would like more details. Anyways that’s beside the point, the point is those are some pissed off clouds that have been banned from climbing the tree, or so the owner thinks.
By their expressions we know they are plotting their takeover, and this photo is merely just proof of what the tree looked like before it became a bunch of twigs. These pissed off pussycats honestly look like the feline version of the twins from “The Shining”, and we wouldn’t dare mess with them. Cat owners beware replacing your classic Christmas tree, you just might end up pissing off your kitties!
That’s Just Asking for Trouble
We’re not really sure what this cat mom was thinking for this one. If you own a cat or basically know anything about them, you’d know this would never work. This cat is saying “challenge accepted”, and it’s only a matter of minutes before she goes on full flight mode. Just look away, it’s less painful that way.
Has there ever been a dangling object that a cat hasn’t clawed at? We think not. This is almost worse than having a tree, we all know not to hang shiny things anywhere near a cat. In her eyes, the chandelier has stolen her toys and she’s determined to get them back, and the presents definitely won’t stand in her way.
The Perfect Punishment
This time we don’t have to guess what the heck is going, because the owner has attached a caption and we’re so glad he did because it’s utterly hilarious. He explained, “every time he tried to climb the tree, we made him put on a Christmas outfit for 15 minutes”. Seems like a pretty holiday friendly punishment!
So basically this cat wears this adorable costume every time he wreaks havoc on the holiday decorations. And we all get to delight in this adorable picture! Who doesn’t like cats in costumes? It’s great to have another excuse to dress them up for our viewing pleasure, and it’s a little silver lining to finding destroyed holiday decorations.
Guardians of the Galaxy Tree
For some strange but hilarious reason, cats and dogs alike are irrationally terrified of vacuum cleaners. This is so hilarious to us humans to see our pets be so afraid of something inanimate, but we’re glad for it because it has strong protective powers. Farmers have their scarecrows and we have our vacuum cleaners!
This is an easy hack to prevent your cat or dog from having a hay day with the Christmas tree, and it takes zero effort or time for you to build. These fearless vacuums are the guardians of the galaxy tree, and they stand tall and proud at their posts. Maybe this will even work for other things your pets try to destroy!
A Personal Vendetta Against the UPS Man
Some dogs bark and run after delivery men, but this is a whole different level of hatred! It seems this dog really didn’t want the UPS man to get a delicious package of Christmas cookies, he gobbled them up before they saw the light of day. We guess he really has a bone to pick with that UPS guy, we wonder how this feud got started.
Perhaps he was once a day late to deliver a brand new pet toy? Whatever the reason, he sure ruined the holiday spirit for this family who wanted to give a delicious gift to their delivery man. We suspect this doggo is going to end up on Santa’s naughty list!
Who’s Keeping an Eye on Christmas Dinner?
You made sure your Christmas tree was safe from your curious pets. You hid away the Christmas presents, ensuring no furry friends would come rip them up with their teeth. But while you were doing all that your dog snuck into the kitchen! Christmas dinner is ruined unless you can get a new turkey in time. Just goes to show that nothing is safe if your pets are devious enough.
Better have a family member manned in every room in the house, keeping a close eye on every aspect of Christmas. Otherwise, you might end up with a catastrophe like this! We wonder if any services offer to watch your pets during the holiday set up.
They Were Not Pleased to be Included in the Holiday Photo
Many people like to take their holiday photos with their pets, but not all pets can appreciate being included! It looks like the doggos of this family want nothing more than to get the heck away from the camera. They will kick, they will scream, they will do absolutely everything necessary to get their point across. Better put them back down before things start to get really ugly!
We can’t imagine anything more unpleasant than getting kicked in the face by our furbaby when all we wanted to do was take an adorable holiday photo with them. It’s too bad that these pups couldn’t get into the holiday spirit like their mom and dad, maybe they’ll be more enthusiastic about Easter?
Let’s Hope the Rest of the Tray is Untouched
There’s no way of knowing whether this pupper simply stole a single gingerbread man, or if this was the final cookie he consumed from the tray! For the sake of this family’s Christmas, we hope it’s the first one. Perhaps the baker of these cookies was just TOO good, and this adorable doggy couldn’t resist getting a bite. Or several.
Try not to neglect your pets while cooking up something special for the holidays. A little treat or snack might just be the thing to keep them away from your precious baked goods. It’s either that or having someone stand guard at the kitchen door. It all depends on how important your gingerbread cookies are!
Always Needs to be the Center of Attention
Setting up a nativity scene at Church? That’s a pretty common holiday practice. But in this case, it looks like someone neglected to keep curious cats away from their hard work! Apparently, this feline was NOT okay with having anyone or anything else be the center of attention. He cleverly prowled into the building and knocked little baby Jesus out of the cradle.
Not only did he disturb the nativity scene, he decided to take the cradle for himself! That’s not very respectful of Christmas, cat! But this cat does not care about the holidays or the effort of the people who set this up. He just wanted the best seat in the house, and it looks like that’s just what he got!
That’s Not Catnip!
From far away this house cat probably thought the Christmas tree was a giant clump of catnip, but once he got a bit closer he began to have his doubts. You can see him taking a very cautious and unsure nipple at one of the branches. It looks like he’s finally realized that what he mistook for catnip was, in fact, a simple fir tree.
Perhaps after realizing his error he will leave the Christmas tree and decorations alone. Maybe then his family will have a little peace of mind. However, if you know anything about cats you know that it’s far from likely his mischief is over. If chewing the tree doesn’t interest him he might just try ripping up the presents.
Not the Way to Present a Cat as a Gift
Now, this is certainly one way to keep your kitty’s paws out of trouble. We’re not sure how PETA would react to such a photo, but this cat looks pretty okay (just a bit bewildered!). This could also be one of the family’s Christmas presents, in which case we do not recommend this approach! There is nothing wrong with bringing home a furry friend during the holidays, of course.
But there’s also no need to wrap them up in paper with a bow on top! We’re sure your kids will get the idea that there’s a new family cat without all that wrapping. The look on this kitty’s face seems to say that he’s ready to be unwrapped, he can’t wait for Christmas morning.
A Very Devious and Determined Dog
Maybe that one cat wasn’t able to successfully chew on the Christmas tree, but this pupper certainly was! It seems he got through enough of it to completely ruin the tree. Now this family will have to go out and buy a new one! We guess this dog shaming photo was their way of punishing him for his bad behavior.
To be fair, it looks like this dog is heavily regretting his decision. We don’t think he’s a big fan of having breath that smells like pine. And we’re guessing the rest of his family is not going to enjoy that pine breath either. It’s going to take a lot of brushing to get him back to normal.
The Cat Who Camouflaged for Christmas
At first glance, this may just look like an ordinary Christmas tree. But look a little closer and you’ll notice something that definitely does not belong with all those decorations. Kitty is hiding deep inside the Christmas tree, and he’s doing a pretty good job of camouflaging himself, too! That’s one sneaky feline, we wonder why he’s decided to camp out in there.
Maybe he wants to spring onto the first person awake to open presents. Now that would definitely be a holiday surprise! It’s also possible that he’s silently waiting for everyone to go to sleep, only to gleefully rip all the wrapping paper off the presents without being caught. Either way, someone better get him out of there before he causes trouble!
One of These Things is Not Like the Other
It looks like this person really wanted to get into the holiday spirit, and that meant dressing up all their Muppet dolls in little Santa outfits! But the photo wouldn’t have been complete without their pet cat in the photo as well, dressed in a similar costume of course. This cat does not seem to be glad to be included his expression looks positively murderous!
We think this cat owner should sleep with one eye open for the next few nights, this does not look like a kitty who’s willing to let things like this slide. This looks like a cat who holds grudges and exacts revenge! Better take the Santa hat off ASAP before you really get on his bad side.
They Don’t Even Care About Getting Caught
Forget about the pets who try to stay out of trouble or even the ones who pretend they’re innocent when they’ve done something wrong. This family of cats does not seem to care who sees them messing around! They’re boldly destroying the Christmas tree without a care in the world. Those are what we’d call some super ballsy cats.
The only one who seems to be staying away from the action is the tiny black one in the corner there, he’s just observing his siblings being absolutely crazy. We can’t imagine how their owner reacted when they stumbled upon this horrific scene. We think it’s time for a bunch of naughty kitties to get punished with a spray bottle!
A Spooky Sight to Encounter on Christmas
Now, this looks like one of those pictures taken right before a disaster. Someone spent hours if not days carefully setting up this serene little Christmas scene, only to have a giant beast chance upon it. Well, maybe this house cat is not all that giant, but he certainly appears to be in comparison to the tiny people of this town!
The flash of the camera reflecting in his eyes does not help him look less menacing. In fact, it makes him look like a monster from a horror movie. We don’t know if we could sleep in the same house as this cat after looking at this photo. We’d be too afraid of waking up in the middle of the night with those glowing eyes staring right at me.
The Evilest Looking Kitty
There are two possibilities for this tall and leafless Christmas tree. Either this cat owner had the foresight to get a tree that would be too difficult for his cat to destroy, or the cat has already successfully stripped the tree clean! We mean, just look at that evil expression on his face, it’s not far fetched to assume that he has already ripped every branch off that tree!
Now he’s sitting at the foot of his crime, with no remorse whatsoever. That cat might be cute and fluffy, but underneath all that pretty fur coat is pure evil! You’ll have to do Christmas in another house if you don’t want him to ruin it.
He’s Totally Captivated by the Christmas Lights
Now is the perfect opportunity to gently remove this kitty away from the Christmas decorations before disaster hits! We hope this person is as quick with his cat as he is with a camera. This is not the time to be taking photos, you gotta act fast before those shiny lights end up on a sad pile on the floor.
We have to admit that this is a pretty great picture, the photographer did an excellent job of capturing the mesmerized expression on this cat’s face. Maybe you can allow him to admire the pretty Christmas lights from a safe distance, where he won’t be able to rip them into shreds.
At Least He’s Trying to Help Clean Up!
We think you can guess what went on here from these two pictures. This dog got a little bit too frisky around the Christmas tree, and what started out as innocent playing around resulted in a knocked over Christmas tree! But this dog isn’t going to leave his mess for someone else to clean up, that’s just not his style.
He’s rushing into the living room in a hurry, holding a dustpan in his mouth. He wants to help clean up however he can. What a thoughtful little pup! If only more pets could take his example and lend a hand when they make a mess like this. He probably wasn’t actually able to help sweep up, but we’re sure his owner was more than appreciative.
Opening his Presents Before Christmas Day
The look on this pup’s face seems to say, “Please don’t leave a lump of coal in my stocking!” He clearly feels very bad that he’s ruined the surprise of someone’s Christmas present, perhaps it was even his own! Clearly, this pupper did not have the patience to wait. You know the rules, if you get caught opening your gift before Christmas then it gets taken away.
We hope his owners are a little less strict on his, and let him enjoy that flashing chew toy over the holidays. We mean, he’s only human…we mean…canine. Who among us can say they’ve never sneaked a peek at their gift the day before the holiday? We think his parents should let this one slide.
Not the Greatest at Camouflage
Some of the cats you’ve seen on this list are masters of camouflage when it comes to hiding in their family’s Christmas tree. But not this kitty! He’s hardly making an effort to blend in with those blue baubles and beads. Hopefully, you’ll notice him before he jumps out while everyone is in the middle of unwrapping presents. Nothing more startling than a cat attack when you’re sitting peacefully around the Christmas tree!
Even though he shouldn’t be hiding in there, he looks so serene and adorable that we’d have a hard time telling him to get out. How do you say no to a fluffy face like that? We think you’ll just have to let him have his way and stay there.
A Gruesome Christmas Day Crime
Police, there’s been a terrible crime! Someone has chewed both legs off of this poor, innocent gingerbread man! In fact, we think the culprit might still be in the house, it appears that he’s looking upon his victim with complete indifference. That’s got to carry a penalty of 20 to life if you ask me. And you should have seen what he did to the elf on the shelf!
Maybe he was convinced that if any of these stuffed toys saw his naughty behavior he would end up with a lump of coal in his stocking. So this sneaky canine decided to take out all the holiday spies, keeping them from reporting to Santa. But the truth is out now!
A Powerful and Destructive Dog
After reading this list you’ll know that pets eating the decorations off of the Christmas tree is no big surprise. But what this dog has managed to do is truly outstanding. Somehow he managed to pull off the lights his dad put up outside the house! That’s got to be a dog with athletic ability AND determination. We’d have someone guarding the rest of Christmas very carefully.
If he managed to pull the Christmas lights off the roof just imagine what he could do to Christmas dinner while it’s cooling on the counter. We would get a pet sitter for this pup if we were you, we don’t think he can be trusted to keep his destructive paws to himself.
He Made it Straight to the Top!
Many cats try to climb the Christmas tree, but not all of them succeed. This ambitious feline was able to climb to the very tip of the tree and make it his napping space. And you better believe that he’s not going to come down that easily. So if you want to get your tree unsquashed prepare for a battle!
You better go in with some protective gear, too. If this cat is resilient enough to climb to the top of that prickly tree he’s probably one tough fighter. It might also be a good idea to keep an eye on those lights behind him, we wouldn’t be surprised if he pawed at them while he’s up there!
The Worst Tree for a Dog to Pee On
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house wafted a very unpleasant smell. The family searched high and low until someone figured out it was coming from underneath the Christmas tree. A yellow puddle, with a smell so foul, was discovered. There could only be one culprit, and there he is, wearing his Christmas sweater and looking ever so innocent.
This tiny pupper dared to pee right under the Christmas tree. Perhaps this dog is used to doing his business on trees while taking a walk outside, but this is the worst place he could’ve picked to relieve himself. Let’s just hope he didn’t aim for any of the Christmas presents. You might have to run those new sweaters through the wash!
KatKong
This cat has lost all connection with the feline race, has gone off the charts, and is terrorizing a local village...or maybe she’s even more connected than ever. She has trained all her life for her oppressive regime, stealing your food right from your mouth, tearing up any material object you ever loved, and covering you in their fur so you can never ever wear black.
KatKong, Catzilla, whatever you want to call this crazy cat, she is still the same girl you used to know– always making time to lick herself even in the middle of an annexation. And quite frankly, if there was any pet that would become an evil dictator it would definitely be a cat.
The Gatekeeper
Now let’s turn to all the creative ways that pet owners took to protect their Christmas from being ravaged. This is why we can’t have nice things! This cat mom was so dedicated to her feline baby that she’d rather lock up her Christmas tree instead of caging her furbaby. This is parenting done right, and It’s also a good way to make sure no presents are tampered with before Christmas.
The cat seems perfectly content selflessly taking on the role of the gatekeeper, and her owner can sit back and watch her tree not get taken down or renovated by her cat. Cat owners, what do you think? Is this a practical solution to save Christmas from your kitty’s antics?
A Brave Soul
The bravest, goodest dog of them all, this guy defused a bomb to save his family from an explosive Xmas. He is courageously using his body to protect his loved ones, and we gotta give him props for that. It’s also possible that this dog was the gift and he was all wrapped up ready for his big day until somebody came and opened their present early because he doesn’t look very impressed.
The only other explanation was that this pupper decided to tear up the wrapping, making a huge mess. But he seems like too good of a dog to do that! All we know is, if we received this big furry gift we would never ask for anything more for the rest of our lives.
The Tree Just Fainted
This is the true definition of puppy eyes, and it looks like these guys have been practicing it for months now in the mirror. With a face of pure innocence, this pupper is looking directly into your soul to tell you that it was in fact, not him, even though there was nobody else home at the time that the crime was carried out. Quite frankly, we’re inclined to believe him. Does that look like the face of a bad dog?
He is relieved that you’re here to help, the tree just simply fainted and he was trying to revive it. To be honest, we really can’t focus much on the tree with that adorable face in the way, we’re succumbing to the puppy eyes.
Like Stealing Candy
C’mon, if you hang food from the tree you can’t be surprised if somebody comes along and tries to eat it. This cat obviously has no experience in eating a candy cane, we all know that you’re supposed to lick it not bite it. What a weirdo.
A candy cane does seem like a strange thing for a cat to want to eat, but it’s actually not- mint is closely related to catnip, and we all know how cats feel about catnip. Just so you know, mint in large quantities is actually toxic to cats, so even though it makes for a great picture you should be careful. Maybe hang some feline friendly treats on the tree next time.
Resting in the Shade After his Kill
Here is the common house cat lying on the couch after completing his holiday destruction. You can tell he’s pleased with his maiming of the Christmas tree. Now after all this hard work he requires a long nap to rest his weary bones. If he stays asleep long enough it might give his owners the chance to put the tree back up, and maybe move it to a safer location!
While they’re at it, they should probably also move those papers out of the way. A cat’s claws are excellent at shredding! They must be thankful that all the cat did was knock the tree over, as opposed to tearing it up along with the tinsel.
Personal Paper Shredder
This picture is too good it almost looks staged, but knowing the nature of cats we know that this is very real. This cat unwrapped all the presents before Christmas morning, and we can’t be the only one thinking that it kind of looks like he ate them too. All your gifts may be opened but don’t worry, you still got a brand new paper shredder!
It almost looks as if those presents were laced with catnip because that cat looks like he’s in another dimension. Or it could just be the thrill he got from opening gifts, we can all relate. Maybe next year you’ll want to hide the presents far away from mischievous cat paws.
Hand Me the Wrench, Karen
This kitty doesn’t look like he’s ruining Christmas at all, if anything he’s fixing it. At least that’s what we want to imagine that he’s doing, Although we all know whatever he’s doing down there is probably a lot less innocent than that. He could honestly be taking a nap, it does look pretty comfy and shady under there, but we’ve never really seen a cat sleep on its back like that.
But if we know anything about cats it’s that they are very talented trouble makers, we can’t imagine what mischief he’s getting up to down there but it can’t be good! Please let us know what you think this silly kitty is doing, but regardless, whatever it is he looks cute while doing it.
The Naughtiest Dogs You’ve Ever Met
Ever experienced the sweet anticipation and excitement of an advent calendar? If you have then you’d probably be devastated to wake up to a sight like this in the middle of December! Imagine your beloved pets completely ruining your advent calendar, scarfing all the chocolates for the rest of the month for themselves. That’s definitely not something a good boy would do.
Here are a couple of very naughty dogs who should expect big lumps of coal in their Christmas stockings. But this photo has got us thinking, what if there was an advent calendar, especially for doggies? Maybe then they wouldn’t get jealous of yours and they’d stay far away from it!
He Jumps, He Scores
The Christmas tree is usually fun for the whole family, but this cat seems to be taking all the fun for himself. And whoever decorated it isn’t definitely not having fun watching it get destroyed, nor is the person who’s going to have to clean it up. But such are the risks when you invite a cat over for Christmas!
This kitty is adding his own pizzazz to the tree, and the decorations just simply did not suit his refined feline taste. A commenter wrote “this orange boy is my favorite because of his full commitment. After knocking off many ornaments, he’s still getting air and going for it!” She’s not wrong. This cat will go big or go home!
Is this the Grinch’s Cat?
You don’t even need to read the sign to know that this devious cat makes Christmas preparation a living nightmare. His demonic glowing glare tells you everything you need to know about his attitude. Looks like no one’s Christmas presents are going to get wrapping in time for Christmas Eve, this feline simply will not allow it. We wonder if this kitty’s nickname is “Grinch”.
Are Christmas gifts really the same without the wrapping? You’ll have to ask the members of this family, who are going to have some very bare gifts sitting underneath their Christmas tree. We hope they don’t blame the poor mom who was only doing her best but was unable to fight off this stubborn cat!
Ruh Roh
There is absolutely no reason to punish this little guy, just have a look at the expression on his face, he’s already suffering enough from his lack of self control. If he could talk he’d definitely say, “oh I’m so glad your back! This was such a traumatic experience, please cuddle me”.
And how could you not forgive him? That’s a face you just can’t stay mad at. He looks absolutely mortified that he was caught in a moment of weakness, although he seems to be an intellectual because he tore up every piece of literature in sight. We bet he was doing his family a favor, he saw the Twilight series and he knew what had to be done.
His Niece has a Present No More
It seems this dog had a very rumbly tummy on Christmas day. He might have abstained from gobbling up a tray of gingerbread cookies and avoided taking a bite out of the Christmas ham, but when it came to his niece’s present he couldn’t resist. What exactly was in the gift that this pup found so deliciously appetizing? Knowing the way dogs eat it’s likely there wasn’t even food wrapped up in there!
Tragically, the poor girl will have to go without a Christmas present. Maybe someone was able to run down to the store in time to buy a backup, but if not we hope this puppy will sacrifice his own gift to make up for his mistake.
Nothing to See Here
This photo looks completely normal to me, with a classic angel tree-topper as the tradition goes. The cat must have gotten a little jealous of the plastic figurine that’s usually up there, so she thought, why not put myself to good use and save my family from that tacky decoration. It’s a Christmas miracle, and this cat is living her best life as a real-life angel. As she should be!
The real Christmas miracle though, is how this cat even got up there in the first place and how she’s gonna get down. Hopefully, a helpful family member can give her a hand so she won’t have to use one of her nine lives.
