Boy Builds Tiny House In His Backyard

Posted by Josh

Adapting To Summer Was No Mean Feat Either

The house may have been too-well insulated for the winter, but that would become a big problem in the hot and muggy Iowa summer. Luke needed to find a way to cool down, but wasn’t about to shell out the cash for an actual air conditioning unit, besides the lack of enough electric power to run such a device. So the ever-inventive teenager took several $2 furnace filters, and sprayed them with water before putting them in the window.

The air passes through the damp filters, and creates an effective makeshift cooler as the air is cooled when passing through due to the evaporation of the water.
